Success for Worksop and Nova Centurion swimmer Charlie

Worksop and Nova Centurion swimmer Charlie Humphries, 13, shows off the gold medals he achieved in the 400m freestyle and 50m freestyle events at the City of Coventry Open Meet - achieving personal best times in both races.

Charlie followed this with an outstanding debut at the Midland Zonal competition held at Corby. He again swam personal best times in the 1,500 metre freestyle and in the 400m freestyle. Charlie was top 13-year-old in both events.

Elsewhere, Worksop Dolphins swimmer Lucy Ambrose, 12, attended the City of Derby Open Meet held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield and came away with a National Qualifying time in the 100m butterfly. Lucy’s time of 1.11.53 was a lifetime best and qualifies her for the National Competition to be held in July.
