A LAST gasp own goal from Luke Waterfall denied Gainsborough Trinity three points on the Northolme on Saturday as they were held 1-1 by Solihull Moors

The Blues were hoping to make it two wins on the trot at home, following their New Year’s Day win over FC Halifax

And when they took the lead with just nine minutes remaining through full-back Dominic Roma, the signs were good for Steve Housham’s men.

But with a minute of time added on played, Waterfall put through his own net to give Moors a share of the spoils.

Blues sit fourth in the Blue Square Bet North table, seven points behind third-placed Brackley, having played a game more.

They’re next in action on Saturday in the third round of the FA Trophy at home to Tamworth, of the Blue Square Premier.
