McDonald gives Tigers win at Nantwich

A SINGLE goal from Massiah McDonald gave Worksop Town their first victory of 2012 at Nantwich on Saturday.

Simon Clark’s depleted Tigers squad, minus three defenders who left the club last week, shut down the Dabbers attack for most of the encounter – which was ruined by a blustery wind.

Owain Warlow’s absence through illness meant Matt Young had to play at right-back, while Ash Burbeary missed out through a knee injury.

The winning goal didn’t come until the 76th minute, when Jamie Jackson slipped the ball through for McDonald, his marker slipped and the striker ran in on Jon Brain to find the net.
