Lincolnshire beat Norfolf by six wickets

Lincolnshire started the final day of their fixture with Norfolk hoping for early wickets to put them in a great position in the match and Alex Willerton claimed a wicket in the very first over.

James Hale and Ashley Watson showed some resistance and added 33 for the next wicket.

Hale continued his good form, going on to score 59 and helped by support from Stolworthy and Brown took the total to 192.

James Kimber then claimed two LWBs in successive balls and with Ben France not fit to bat, Norfolk finished on 192, setting Lincs 194 to win with a minimum of 76 overs to play.

Louis Kimber and Jonnie Tattersall opened up for Lincs and Ben France soon claimed the scalp of Kimber with the score on 14, and at lunch Lincs looked comfortable at 25-1. Tattersall and Warwick nearly doubled that score before the former was caught behind for 21.

Warwick also fell for 21 with the total on 64-3. Conrad Louth then took control of the innings along with Adam Tillcock.

These two more than doubled the score, Louth hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes in an aggressive innings of 54 before falling to Stolworthy with 130 on the board. Anish Patel joined Tillcock in the middle and they took the score to 152 at tea.

After the break the runs flowed freely, Patel making an undefeated 29, and it was only right that Adam Tillcock hit the run that brought up both his 50 and the winning run as Lincs won by six wickets toclaim maximum points.

Tillcock was rightly adjudged the Carter Builder Man of the Match for his 153 and 50, both not out, and his six wickets in the match.

Lincolnshire now stand second in the table, four points behind Northumberland and 10 clear of Staffs in third.
