Dragons fly away with lead

Gainsborough and District Table Tennis League

WEEK six saw Dragons stretch their lead in the table to four points over second-placed Eagles.

The leaders hammered Condors 18-6 thanks to six wins from Jamie Cook and four wins each by Lee Codd, Barry Lamb and James Cooper.

Jamie also won four playing as a guest for Eagles in their 17-7 thrashing of Buzzards.

Apaches, with new number one Pete Preece, moved up to fourth in the table despite losing 14-10 to Falcons for whom Dave Brumpton won six games.

Eagles 17 (Phil Dixon 6, Ken Eliot 3, Craig Walker 4, Jamie Cook 4), Buzzards 7 (John Mackey 4, Barry Lamb 3).
