Our Trinity correspondent David Granger has come up with a few pointers to assist you if undecided.

In a season where Trinity have qualified for the FA Cup first round, defeated local rivals Boston United twice and replaced their manager, it would define an up and down season at the Martin and Co Arena.

Trinity have excelled at times, especially in qualifying for the FA Cup proper for the first time in nine years after defeating Wrexham on their own turf thanks to a Nathan Jarman free kick late on. For this individual moment it has to be acknowledged that ‘Jarmo’ is a strong candidate for the Gainsborough Standard’s Player of the Year award.

Jarman, top scorer for Trinity, notched three other times on the road to the first round and calmly gave the Blues a win over Nuneaton in the 90th minute in Dominic Roma’s first game in charge.

Another stand out player has to be Liam Davis. He always gives a 100% and contributes with goals from midfield, with the pick being the acrobatic scissor kick in the defeat to Solihull.

How about a nod to the defence too, with clean sheets hitting double figures so far this season. Jake Picton has been a monster at the back, an almost ever present too, whilst Jan Budtz has defied the years with some excellent shot stopping. Stephen Brogan’s switch to left back from midfield propels the former Rotherham man into the spotlight along with the assists picked up throughout the campaign from dead ball situations.

They are just my thoughts on the season but more importantly, what are yours?
