All Blacks win third in a row
GAINSBOROUGH travelled to Boston to play their II XV in a Lincs merit table game and won for the third consecutive match.

Elliot Humphrey captained the side in the continued absence of Vernon Goude and he scored a try as well as walking off with the man of the match award - clearly the leadership suits this young man!
Mick Williams returned to the side, replacing the unavailable Paul Hooton, and James Taylor made his club debut as tight head prop.
The recent success would appear to be that the backs are now functioning and scoring the tries needed to win the games, Chadwick, Kyle Dean (two tries), captain Humphrey and Martin Roberts scoring the other.
Gainsborough settled from their travels very quickly and soon took the lead against the hosts when Humphrey took a quick tapped penalty and this led to Kyle Dean going over for the first of his brace of tries.
Dean again scored before half-time and the turn around score was 10–17.
The secret of the All Blacks success has to be down to the consistency of the back row play, as the same three players, Bell, Ellis and Roberts, have turned out in these positions for the last three games and they are starting to dominate their opposite numbers.
Gainsborough were well on top for the second half as they made what is now their customary changes to keep fresh legs on the field but also had to do without scrum half Ian Ross for 10 minutes when he had to spend a session in the bin.
The effect of 14 men did give the hosts an opportunity and they did score a try but never really threatened the final result of 29–18.
This was a good result and the All Blacks travelled happily back to Gainsborough after the match.
This week saw the last game for Kyle Dean for a little while as he is to go into hospital for an operation, all the club wish him well and look forward to his return
Gainsborough now have two home games in which they can look to continue their winning ways. This Saturday they entertain Bourne with a 2.30pm kick-off at the Queen Elizabeth High School and the following week Horncastle are the visitors.
