It was the sum of 69 for Ordsall Bridon

Ordsall Bridon beat Cuckney II by 69 runs on Saturday, but Retford suffered another disappointing defeat.

At Ordsall, Paul van den Heuvel made 36 and Tim Ward 59 in Ordsall Bridon’s 208 for 7.

In reply Cuckney could only reach 139 before they were dismissed, Tim Miles in the wickets once more with 4 for 38.

Retford’s visit to Kiveton Park yielded no points, also in Bassetlaw Cricket League Championship action.

They were all out for 108, although James Laking added 37 runs for the visitors.

Kiveton knocked off the runs for the loss of just one wicket.

North Wheatley with Leverton hosted Harthill and won by 31 runs, with Richard Robinson hitting 88.

In Division Two Ordsall Bridon II lost out to Welbeck II, and a division below, Retford’s second team had a losing draw with Kiveton Park II.

On Saturday Retford host Notts and Arnold Amateur, Ordsall Bridon are at Harthill and North Wheatley with Leverton make the trip to leaders Glapwell.
