DINNINGTON Town boss Steve Toyne will be pitting his managerial wits against Clipstone Welfare gaffer Lee Tryner in the first NCEL Division One game of the season.

Town’s fixture list was published this week, and Town are at Clipstone on the opening day on 4th August.

A League Cup tie at Phoenix Park against Hemsworth Miners Welfare and a home FA Cup extra preliminary round clash with Atherton Colliers complete the first week of the new campaign for Dinnington.

Other highlights on the calendar include the visit of local rivals Hallam on 17th November and the return fixture on 20th April on the penultimate Saturday of the season.

Dinnington will conclude their league schedule with a home game against Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.

Before competitive football begins however Toyne’s men have a friendly at Kiveton tomorrow (Saturday), and further pre-season fixtures at Hasland on Tuesday and at home to Rotherham United next Friday night (7.45pm). Their high scoring summer continued this week, with a 4-4 draw at Shardlow St James. In three friendlies so far Town have scored 11 goals and conceded 13.
