The Blues Club have reached the semi-finals of the Amateur Cup, thanks to a hard fought 2-1 win over Crown and Arrows.
Despite being bottom of the Lincoln Saturday League, Crown and Arrows were in good form ahead of the clash with title chasing Blues Club.
The Gainsborough side were also in good form having won six of their last seven games and done a league double over their opponents.
But again the under dogs refused to be fazed and The Blues Club had to battle to the end to win 2-1 thanks to an own goal and one from the league’s leading scorer Lee Bognar, his 24th of the season.
The draw for the semi-finals has set up two very tasty ties with holders Fulbeck United taking on league leaders RM Imp and second placed Birchwood United entertaining third placed The Blues Club.
