Second division Barnetby United put up a brave fight against Division One Swinefleet Juniors in the E C Surfacing Ltd Sporting Shield Semi-Finals.
They were 2-0 down at half time though goals from Keir Vause & Aaron Raymond.
But Barnetby United pulled a goal back just after half-time through Will Hartley. Despite putting pressure on Swinefleet they couldn’t score again.
And a Ryan Whitlam goal towards the end for Swinefleet Juniors sealed a 3-1 win to take them through the final.
Brumby reached their first final of the season as they try to emulate what College Wanderers achieved last season by winning all five competitions they are in.
Ironically this was achieved by beating College Wanderers 2-1, with Tom Wilson scoring both goals for Brumby, while John-Joe McCaffrey on target for College Wanderers.
Third Division Crosby Colts Juniors gave Second Division Bruce’s Beacon a run for their money as they drew 1-1 after extra time.
Matthew Fleming scored for Crosby Colts Juniors with Daniel Garner scoring for Bruce’s Beacon.
Beacon eventually won 4-2 on penalties and they will now play Broughton Colts in the Final.
Two goals from Gary Moment and one from Matthew Muldoon for Epworth Town saw them beat Scotter United 3-2 to move above them in the Division One table. Andy Herrick and Sam Johnson scored for Scotter United.
Top-of-the-table Limestone Rangers made it eight straight wins to keep their 100 per cent record as they battered New Holland Villa 14-0, with Max Batty scoring eight, Phillip Spindley scored four and Tom Riley two goals.
Crowle Town Colts lost 2-1 to Ashby RAOB in Division Two. The win sees Ashby RAOB move up to third in the table.
James Barley scored twice for Ashby RAOB, with Colts’ goal coming thanks to an own goal.
Two goals each for Dan Hindle and Pete Sykes for East Drayton saw them beat Crosby Colts Reserves 4-3 to move from bottom-of-the-table to fourth place. Stephen Bingham, Martyn Keech & Michael Clements scored for Crosby Colts Reserve.
Paul Clarkson, Matthew Ellis, Daniel Barker and Christian Smith all scored for second placed Scunthonians as they beat College Wanderers Reserves 4-3, Declan Brassier, Richard Leaning and an own goal accounting for College Wanderers Reserves scorers.
Scotter United Reserves drew 2-2 with Division Three leaders Epworth Town Reserves, Daniel Shaw and David Mumby scored for Scotter United Reserves, with Kevin Shelley and Chris Quinn scoring for Epworth Town Reserves.
A hat-trick for Declan Bacon and one goal from George Pritchard saw Westwoodside Rangers inflict a second successive defeat on Briggensians as they won 4-0.
