A Gainsborough football club were given a boost last weekend, despite not playing due to a frozen pitch.
The Blues Club were due to take on Saxilby in the quarter-final of the David Cooper Cup, but the weather intervened.
When the semi-final draw was made, it had a favourable look for the holders of the competition – the Blues Club.
Should they manage to overcome Saxilby, then they will be rewarded with a home semi-final against AFC Crown and Arrows.
The tie of the round, without doubt, will be between Lincoln Saturday League leaders RM Imp and second placed Birchwood United.
The dates of the ties are to be decided.
This Saturday, The Blues Club are at home to high flying RM Imp at 2pm at Trent Valley Academy.
