GAINSBOROUGH Trinity have moved to secure the services of versatile defender Dominic Roma from Harrogate.

The signing was confirmed by club chairman Peter Swann on the supporters’ online form.

He said: “We can today announce the signing of Dominic Roma. He was at Harrogate last season and we are all pleased he has decided to join Trinity. We hope to announce a few more signings by the middle of next week and wish Dominic all the best for the coming season.”

Twenty-five-year-old Roma, who featured at both right-back and left-back for Harrogate Town last season, began his career at Sheffield United and played for both the England Under 18 and Under 19 teams.
