MIDFIELD dynamo Matt Young spoke of his delight after watching his team-mates thrash Chasetown at Sandy Lane on Wednesday.
The former Huddersfield Town man broke his leg in pre-season and has been assisting caretaker boss Andy Lake with the running of the side while out injured.
He told the Guardian: “We’ve absolutely dominated them from start to finish, and it’s been coming.”
“We’ve had games where chances haven’t quite gone for us and then we’ve given a sloppy goal away – like Saturday, I thought we did really well for 60 minutes and then before you know it we’re 3-1 down.”
“I’m so pleased for the lads to get the goals to put them away.”
Young’s energy and industry in the middle of the park have been missed by Tigers so far this season, but he has a return in sight.
“Fingers crossed I’m aiming for a week on Saturday,” he said.”
“I’ve stepped up the running but it’s about putting my foot in for a tackle.”
“The bone is a little bit weak still and it’s a little bit psychological, getting it into my head that I can go in for a tackle.”
