Gainsborough Trinity have invited members of the armed forces and local cadets to their Remembrance Day game at home to Guiseley.
The Conference North side will admit servicemen and women, cadets and members of their families into the Martin and Co Arena for a 50 per cent discount on 11th November.
Club chairman Nick Tinker confirmed: “If members of the armed forces or Gainsborough Cadets can show identification, they can get into the ground with two family members for half price.”
“We have delievered posters to the Cadet Headquarters in Ropery Road and hope that some cadets will be able to join us.”
The Blues are trying to adopt a community-centric approach, involving local firms and schools in life at the ground formerly known as the Northolme.
A club statement added: “The new board of directors at Gainsborough Trinity are working to develop a real community organisation in the fullest sense of the word with fans, children, traders and schools interested and involved in the club.”
“The directors believe there is much to be gained from a symbiosis between town and football club each helping the other towards success.”
