Goals galore as two Town sides clash

Have your say

Gainsborough Town and Skegness Town met again in the Lincolnshire Football League on Saturday, but this time goals took centre stage – rather than controversy.

The two sides were forced to abandon their previous meeting when the referee called a halt to proceedings due to alleged misconduct of the Gainsborough bench.

In Saturday’s encounter, at Gainsborough, the points were shared in a 3-3 thriller.

The home side’s goals came courtesy of Leigh Hutchinson, Greg Andrews and James Dickinson , with McCauley Parker, Ben Davison and Liam Papworth replying for Skegness.

Town now host Heckington United in round two of the Supplementary Cup this Saturday.
