GAINSBOROUGH Trinity were beaten 3-1 today on the Northolme by Stalybridge Celtic.

Connor Jennings put the visitors ahead on 27 minutes, and his second goal on 66 had Celtic in control.

Gavin Cowan pulled one back with 18 minutes remaining, but a stoppage time goal from Lloyd Ellams saw the points leave with the away side.

The result sees Trinity slip back to 18th in the Blue Square Bet North.

Brian Little takes his men to promotion hopefuls AFC Telford on Tuesday night.
