Dinnington Town’s annual lucrative friendly with Sheffield United will take place on 8th October.
The Blades’ trip to Phoenix Park was postponed in the summer due to a clash of commitments.
But the League One side have agreed to send a team to Dinnington next week.
And Dinnington Town are over the moon.
A club spokesman said: “As it turns out the game now comes at a time when Town need support and extra revenue from a bumper crowd.”
“As things stand Town are struggling financially, with lower attendances and lack of any major sponsorship this season a real struggle.”
“With other clubs being able to attract players by the offer of good money this is not an option at Dinnington Town, we have to rely on the loyalty and commitment of our squad.”
“So please come out and give us your support on the night and help keep this club going, or if any companies wish to sponsor the club or the match please do not hesitate to contact us.”
The friendly will kick-off at 7.45pm on Tuesday night.
