GAINSBOROUGH Trinity Supporters Club are the Gainsborough Standard Sunday Football League Division Three champions after defeating Blyborough 2-0, finishing one point ahead of rivals White Hart United who won their last game on Friday evening, 3-0 over Horse and Jockey.
The previous Tuesday Trinity Supporters beat White Hart in the Presidents Trophy Final on the Northolme after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
White Hart have been unlucky also rans as they were deducted three points earlier in the season for registration irregularities which cost them the championship and they were beaten 3-2 in the Trinity Trophy Final by Vine Inn United after leading 2-0.
The race for the Division Two title also ended on Sunday with the defeat of Vine Inn United leaving Epworth Town, who were without a game, high and dry on 39 points, as champions.
Gainsborough Trinity Supporters Club and Epworth Town will join Division One champions Flying Scotsman and Division Four title winners east Markham for the Annual Presentation of Awards on Friday May 30 at the United Services Club.
Clubs wishing to withdraw from the league should do so in the proper manner as laid down in the league handbook. Any club wishing to join the league next season should apply to the league secretary Rodney Millns before June 1.
