Dale Park made it hard for Marshalls, chasing the ball down and not allowing them time to settle, but the visitors matched the opposition for hard work and got an early reward when, just after going down to 10 men, Joe C finished off a move down the
left.
Dale Park had breakaway chances, Billy Remmington making one notable save, but it was Marshalls who went into half time with a 2-0 lead, Dominic netting after good work again across the midfield.
Marshalls kept the attacking formation playing with three at the back. This occasionally led to Dale Park having chances to score but Billy was equal to anything they could muster, one save late on, a strong left hand pushing the ball away from goal, being of the highest order.
Ryan scored Marshalls' third after good work by Liam B and Marshalls could have pulled well clear with better finishing.
Dale Park were given some hope when they scored following a penalty – Billy saving the initial penalty brilliantly and then the rebound shot but he was helpless on the third attempt.
This seemed to click Marshalls into gear and they started to pass and move using the width of the pitch creating three good chances but the score remained 3-1.
The back three of Marshalls were once again strong and resolute and the midfield hardworking, but all 11 players deserve a lot of credit for a solid performance.
