IT was hoped that junior team managers would re-arrange cancelled fixtures and play games this weekend, but only four games took place leaving what could turn out to be a very congested end to the season.
The Kerry Gainsborough Youth Football League

One U8 game took place and this saw Walesby defeat Gainsborough Trinity 3-0 in an evenly matched contest.

Gainsborough Trinity and Forrest Rangers rearranged their U9s fixture, postp
oned because of the snow, and in a very even and thrilling game Forrest converted their chances to win 5-2.

A. Rodgers (3) and S. Hutchinson (2) were the Forrest scorers with L. Crosby and L. Bland converting for Trinity.

In the U10s League two games took place and both ended in draws.
Gainsborough Trinity entertained Ordsall Rangers and shared 10 goals with T. Dunderdale (2), O. Forrest (2) and S. Trowsdale finding the net for the home side.

The draw means Trinity remain in third place with Ordsall staying in fourth.

After last week's victory over Trinity, Blyth travelled to Ordsall Tigers and picked up a point in a 2-2 draw.

Results for 6th February: U10s - Ordsall Tigers 2, Blyth 2; Gains Trinity 5, Ordsall Rgrs 5. U9s - Gains Trinity 2, Forrest Rgrs 5. U8s - Walesby 3, Gains Trinity 0.
