WEEK eight has seen Gainsborough and District Table Tennis Summer League leaders Eagles' unbeaten run finally come to an end.
Falcons beat them 14-10 thanks to Dave Brumpton with six wins, Jon Colley with five and Joanne Bagshaw with three.
For Eagles, who are still four points clear at the top of the table, Mark Ottey and Craig Walker won three each and John Lezgold and Gary Brewin two each.
Second-placed Dragons managed to help shrink the distance between themselves and the leaders with a 14-10 win over basement side Apaches.
For Dragons John Mackey won five, Barry Lamb four, James Cooper three and Paul Cooper two, while chalking up the wins for Apaches were Mark Ayris with four, Charles Derry and Steve Mason with three each.
The closest match of the evening saw Condors overcome Buzzards 13-11.
Phil Dixon won five, Dave Shelley and Pete Barker three each and Jacob Marshall two for Condors, while Mick Tindall won five and Lee Codd and Steve Mason three each for Buzzards.
