Cycling club hold second speed judging contest

GAINSBOROUGH Aegir Cycling Club's second speed judging contest was a pleasant ride with little or no wind.

The five-mile circular course for the riders was along Laughton Road turning left onto Carr Lane to East Stockwith, through the village heading to Walkerith, heading towards Morton, turning left and returning to Laughton Lane.
Results: 1st, Daniel Nicholson; 2nd, Dave Day; 3rd, Andy Lewin; 4th, Paul Reynolds; 5th, Mike Overton; 6th, Trevor Halstead; 7th, Geoff Garner; 8th, Mark Clark.
The overall results are: Andy Lewin 10 points; Dave Day 10 points; Daniel Nicholson 6 points; Mike Overton 5 points; Geoff Garner 4 points; Trevor Halstead 3 points; Paul Reynolds 3 points; Mark Clark 1 point.
Next week's events are on Sunday 23rd November and include a morning leisure ride suitable for beginners of 20-25 miles and a faster training ride. All riders meet at Roseway Gainsborough at 9.20am.
