MORTON Striders had a record attendance of 14 runners hitting the streets of Gainsborough last Tuesday night which is a promising sign for the club.
On Thursday six runners completed a five-mile run through the centre of town.

Sunday saw seven Striders take part in the annual duathlon against Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club and although the cyclist came out on top the Striders put in a tremendous effort and certainly made them work.

The runners would like to express their thanks to Trevor and the cycling club for organising the event and the loan of the cycles to enable the runners to compete and are promising more resilience next year as the club grows in stature!

Tomorrow (Friday) Morton Striders are holding a quiz night at the Blues Club starting at 7.30pm to raise much needed funds to supply kit for the runners who are representing Gainsborough in this sport and all are invited to attend.

Then on the Sunday following the quiz a large group from the running club are heading off to North Ferriby to compete in a 10-mile road race.
