Bassetlaw League Division THree
Wiseton v Clipstone
A BUMPER weekend of cricket started with an away game at one of last season's form teams, Clipstone.
Batting first, Wiseton made 143 thanks to the in-form veteran Steve Marshall (54) and a welcome return to form for Jamie Sumner (21no).
In reply the regular opening bowlers Lee Peatfield (3-31) and Matt Loates (4-23) once again bowled immaculately t
o leave the home side on 20-6 at one point.
Some lusty lower order hitting from the home side meant the total crept up to 88 before the final wicket of Bingley (20) fell to Simon Pixsley.

Wiseton v Edwinstowe II
Bank Holiday Monday at Edwinstowe meant that there were plenty of distractions as Wiseton played their second Bassetlaw game of the weekend.
On winning the toss Wiseton skipper Adam Kay elected to field first on what turned out to be a very warm afternoon. The home side got off to the worst possible start as Lee Peatfield's attempted bouncer accounted for Edwinstowe's skipper Hallam for 0 after just two deliveries.
Wickets then began to fall at regular intervals thanks to some fantastic bowling from Matt Loates (1-16) and Peatfield (4-33) and this was backed up by a superb fielding display from the rest of the team.
Bassetlaw debutante Mike White (2-18) and James Brindley (2-14) continued to bowl a good line and they soon mopped up the tail leaving the home side on 80 all out after 35 overs.
In reply Wiseton openers Loates and Lugg were both dismissed early on leaving the experienced duo of Ian White (40no) and Steve Marshall (17no) to guide the visitors home with over 36 overs to spare.
An excellent all round performance from the village side and a great start to the season.
