SEVERAL teams have been active in the Bishop Norton and District Short Mat Bowls League, mainly in the Southern Division, with Bishop Norton Green beating Hibaldstow 8-2 at home and then producing another 8-2 win away to Ingham.
Bishop's next match was at home to Cherry Willingham but this time they couldn't find the same form and lost 7-3 at home.
However, they regained their form in their next match, winning 10-0 at home to Lea.
Glentworth have had a very disappointing start, losing 8-2 at both Blyton and Hibaldstow, 6-4 at home to Glentham but then had a good cup win against Bottesford Brown, before losing 6-4 at home to Bishop Norton Yellow.
Lea beat Bishop Norton Yellow 8-2 and Glentham 6-4, while Blyton and Glentham fought out a draw.
In the Northern Division Perry's Gold lost their first two matches 10-0 while Waddingham Red emerged 6-4 winners at home to Elsham after a tight match.
In the cup Bishop Norton Yellow narrowly beat Hibaldstow 41-34 and Waddingham Red beat Lea 55-35.
