Reaching an all time low

The Captain’s column this week reached as an all time low at a time when a large proportion of the population were celebrating a tremendous achievement by a young British tennis player.

A totally out of proportion shot of a few spectators shown briefly between some fantastic games of tennis and a headline about strawberries was really pathetic.

Did we really need to read such selective, exaggerated, negative article and why would he think he would have to pay a tenner for six strawberries?

Those of us who enjoy the whole Wimbledon experience can tell you that a very generous portion of strawberries and cream costs £2.50. How many other restaurants and tea rooms match that price?
