I WAS furious when I read about Gainsborough losing 26 triage nurses in last week’s Standard.
Have we not lost enough?
We already have to travel miles out if we need to visit an Accident and Emergency department, and woe betide you if you need help from a policeman in a hurry.
Now they’re depriving an already very deprived town of being able to talk to a qualified local nurse if we need medical assistance after GP’s hours. I ask you, what have we done as a town to deserve this?
All I see are more and more cuts and services being withdrawn from Gainsborough and nothing being put back in, and I think it’s time we stood up and said: “NO MORE!”
