Clock mend is time consuming

In reply to John who emailed to your letter’s column last week.

Town halls don’t have to be the only places to have a clock. Clocks can be erected anywhere in public places.

In Saxilby, where I live their village hall has an outdoor public clock on the building that hasn’t stopped, but had been broken down for a few weeks. When I spoke to the caretaker about it, he said that it needs the engineers to mend it.

A few weeks on and we are still waiting!
