Worksop: Teen threatens brothers with axe at scrap yard

A teenager armed with an axe threatened to attack two brothers and their father at a scrap metal yard.

James Rae, 19, of Chesterton Drive, Kilton, Worksop, pleaded guilty to using abusive language with intent to cause distress to brothers Paul and Jamie Spencer, and dad Charlie at EMR Metals, on Sandy Lane, Worksop, on 12th November 2013.

James picked up the weapon after words were exchanged and he started shouting and swearing before threatening to ‘smash up their truck.’

He was given a 12-month community order, 12 months supervision, 150 hours unpaid work and £60 victim surcharge.
