Bassetlaw Council and A1 Housing’s Joint-ASB team had successfully applied for the injunction against Vincent Dyer in October 2012, with further amendments and restrictions being put in place in December 2013 and January 2014.

Dyer, of Larwood Avenue, appeared at Mansfield County Court in May 2014 for a breach of his ASBI and received two six-month suspended sentences, which ran concurrently.

And following a further breach of his ASBI, Dyer appeared again at Mansfield County Court on 4th June this year where District Judge Potts sentenced him to three months imprisonment and a further six months in relation to the previous suspended sentence.

Both sentences are to run consecutively.

Simon Greaves, leader of Bassetlaw Council said: “Ignoring the terms of an ASBI is a serious offence and the sentence passed down by District Judge Potts shows that the courts are not afraid to impose custodial sentences in these cases.”

“We will continue to work closely with Notts Police and the general public to ensure that anti-social behaviour injunctions and orders are enforced and offenders face the most appropriate consequences.”
