Drinking less than two pints of cider cost a Worksop car salesman his job.

Christopher Marsden Woodcock, 32, of Chaffinch Mews, pleaded guilty to driving in Ollerton with 53 mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

Mansfield Magistrates were told police saw a Ford Focus being driven at 45 mph in a 30mph zone, which swerved towards the kerb and back towards the centre of the road, on October 3. They stopped Woodcock who said he had drunk a pint of cider earlier and then three quarters of a pint later on.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £120 with a victim surcharge of £20, criminal courts charge of £150 and costs of £45.
