Superstar Plan B will be rocking Sherwood Pines Forest Park on Saturday 16th June

THE AWARD-WINNING Plan B has gone from rags to riches to become a pop superstar - and YOU could win the chance to see him in Notts this summer.

We have teamed up with The Forestry Commission to offer TWO lucky ready readers a pair of tickets to see the show at Sherwood Pines Forest Park on Saturday 16th June.

Plan B, real name Ben Drew is singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and film director who first came to prominence with the 2006 release of the critically acclaimed hip hop album Who Needs Actions When You Got Words.

His next project, the soul-influenced The Defamation of Strickland Banks, took the listener on a journey of a man who finds success hard to handle and then hits rock bottom.

Released in 2010, the album went on to become the fifth biggest seller of the year and continued a strong and undeniable chart presence through 2011 as he conquered the airwaves and the hearts of the nation.

Featuring well-crafted hit singles such as Stay Too Long, Prayin’ and The Recluse, the awards flooded in for artist and album alike .

Plan B took home silverware including a Brit Award for Best British Male and a trio of Ivor Novellos: Songwriter of the Year, Album of The Year and Most Performed Work for She Said.

Needless to say, Plan B has risen from rags to riches, and he’ll be performing an unforgettable set of his hits in Sherwood Pines this summer.

Commenting on his forthcoming forest dates Plan B said: “It’s going to be a real adventure taking the Plan B show into the woods.”

“I’m really up for this and hope to see you there”.
