WIN! Tickets to the Hoot Comedy Club
TWO cracking comedians are lined up to tickle your funnybone next month at Gainsborough’s Hoot Comedy Club.
The Christmas special rolls into Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 13th December.
And YOU could be there for free if you’re the lucky winner of our ticket competition.
Andy White is a Brummie lad made good, escaping a call centre to become an established stand up comic who combines perceptive observational humour, silly voices and a mad afro to devastating comic effect.
He is a regular performer at Jongleurs and The Comedy Store and won a cool ten grand on a Weakest Link comedian’s special.
He based his marvellous one-man solo show ‘It Started With A Quiz’ on it.
Ruth E Cockburn is a regular fixture at Manchester’s legendary Frog & Bucket comedy venue and an established playwright with her work having being performed at festivals from Edinburgh to Sydney.
Ruth’s comedy is a perilously potent mix of spot-on, slightly surreal social commentary and brilliantly inventive, hummable and instantly hilarious songs.
And, of course, resident compere Elliot J Huntley will have the audience in stitches with his storytelling and bawdy mandolin songs.
Entry is £6 in advance, £7 on the door. Book now at the box office on 01427 676655.
To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, simply answer this question: Q) Which UK city is comedian Andy White from?
Send your answer to: Hoot Competition, Gainsborough Standard, 5-7 Market Place, Gainsborough, DN21 2BP or email competitions@gainsboroughstandard.co.uk
Don’t forget to include a daytime contact number as the winner will be contacted by phone. Entry closes Wednesday 28th November. Normal Standard competition rules apply.
