The National Ice Centre in Nottingham is presenting its annual gala A Dance to the Music of Time next month.

And we have an early Christmas present in the form of a family pass for four people, two adults and two children, to give away for this spectacular event, which takes place on Thursday, 19th December.

Over 150 skating stars will showcase their skills at the gala, ranging from some as young as four all the way through to principal skaters, many of whom compete on the international circuit.

Join them as they take you on a journey through some of the most memorable music of the last 80 years.

Enjoy the sounds of the 30s and 40s with the Charleston, waltz and samba, the swinging 60s with The Beatles and Elvis, the 70s with Abba and Queen, the 80s with Madonna and Michael Jackson, the 90s with The Spice Girls and Steps and the current day with Bruno Mars and Little Mix.

Not only will the production include great music, it will be a feast for the eyes with spectacular lighting, skating and videos recalling historical events.

The show starts at 7pm and tickets are available now online at www.capitalfmarena.com/online/SkatingGala, through the ticket Hotline on 0843 3733000 or the Capital FM Arena Nottingham Box Office.

However, one lucky family can win a family ticket to the event by answering this simple question: What is ITV’s celebrity ice skating competition called?

Send your answer, along with your name, address and daytime phone number to Ice Gala Competition, Worksop Guardian, 21-27 Ryton Street, Worksop, S80 2AY, or email competitions@worksop-guardian.co.uk.

The closing date is 5th December and normal Guardian competition rules apply.
