FANCY an entertaining evening at the theatre? Look no further... we’ve teamed up with Lincoln Theatre Royal for this great competition prize.
The Cemetery Club comes to the stage this month and is sure to thrill audiences with its dark humour and tales of love and friendship through hard times.
Ida, Lucille and Doris are part of a club – the cemetery club.
Every month they meet at Ida’s New York house for tea, then trundle off to the cemetery to remember the good times and gossip with their late husbands.
Lucille fancies herself as a flamboyant swinger, Doris is a traditional matronly widow and Ida is somewhere in between.
When Sam, a butcher, meets the widows at the cemetery while he is visiting his wife’s grave he changes their lives forever.
This touching play about three superannuated, feuding Jewish women is funny, wise and gloriously witty - described as Steel Magnolias meets the Golden Girls.
The Cemetery Club comes to Lincoln Theatre Royal on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th April 2012 at 7.30pm.
Tickets priced £16.50 - £19 are available from the box office on 01522 519999 or online at www.lincolntheatreroyal.com
