Guardian readers and residents have taken to social media to express their disgust after gas attacks on two Worksop pubs.

“Let’s hope it was a prank,” posted Julie Lumley on the Guardian facebook page. “Glad everyone was ok.”

Shauna Stone posted: “I hope they catch the low life scum bag who ruined what was a nice night out with friends.”

Rachel Booth wrote: “Sad people go around spoiling other people’s nights! What happened to going out and having a good time?”

Joanna Keeling wrote on The Cornerhouse facebook: “I’m 22 weeks pregnant and decided to stay in- so glad I did. God knows what damage it could of done to me and my unborn baby.”

Louise Trow wrote: “It’s bad when you feel you can’t go out anymore and are made to feel unsafe. Hope they just don’t get a slap on the wrist like most do.”
