The Post Office is proposing to move its Walesby branch from its current location on Main Street to a new-style open-plan branch at The Carpenters Arms on Broughton Road in the town.

The new branch will have significantly extended opening hours and the Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move in a six-week public consultation.

Adrian Wales, Post Office regional Network manager for central England, said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in Walesby and we are confident that moving a Post Office to the local pub will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”

The new Walesby Post Office would be open from 12noon to 11pm, Monday to Sunday, offering customers an extra 35 and a half hours of service per week week to access Post Office products and services.

The public consultation will close on 12th December and all feedback will be considered.

Submissions can be made during the consultation by Freepost YOUR COMMENTS to Post Office Ltd, via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, via the Customer Helpline on 08457 223344 or textphone 08457 223355.
