Following the previous successes of the well-loved history trip to Berlin, a group of lower-sixth students from Wales High School travelled to the city in February.

During the four days, the pupils ventured through the historical capital seeing various Berlin landmarks, including the Television Tower – Fernessaturm, the Olympic Stadium and the Reichstag.

The students and staff were moved by the devastating history of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

They saw a Jewish memorial, which portrayed the importance of equality and remembered those who had lost their lives.
