Viking Velo hosted the latest Gainsborough combined cycling clubs’ time trial.
Forty-six riders raced over 15 miles around Laughton woods.
The weather played a key role with a moderate south west wind making the long haul south along the Trent bank form Susworth to Morton a tough ask.
The race for outright victory saw a titanic struggle between Steve Grocock of Lincsquad and home club rider Andy Lewin, with the Viking man losing out by just seven seconds.
Lewin finished in 34.09./
Third pace went to another Viking rider, Julian Hesp who posted 34.55.
