Video: Councillor accuses Notts County Council of trying to poison Worksop

A local councillor has slammed Notts County Council’s decision to site a waste transfer station on Claylands Avenue in Worksop, saying it will poison the whole town and surrounding area.

Coun Ivor Jones, a member of Shireoaks Parish Council, also says the county council are trying to turn Worksop into the county’s dumping ground.

And he hit out at members of Bassetlaw Council’s planning committee, who rejected the proposal when it was put before them, for not doing more to block the motion when it came before the county council.
