GAINSBOROUGH and District Ladies’ Luncheon Club were treated to a delightful talk fron a well-known TV personality.

Marylyn Mason was the guest speaker for the April meeting of the luncheon Club where she spoke about ‘unveiling a masterpiece.’

Marylyn was better known as a reporter and presenter on Yorkshire TV’s Calendar, where she worked alongside the likes of Richard Whiteley, leaving in 1989 to set up Grassroot Productions with her husband and well-known garden designer Alan Mason.

Her talk discussed how whilst making TV programme together they visited Belvoir Castle and accidentally discovered the ‘masterpice’ gardens of Harlaxton Manor.
