HEAVY rainfall is thought to have caused a train to derail at Clarborough this afternoon (Friday 27th April).

Seventeen passengers were evacuated after the two carriage train came off the tracks at 12.15pm.

Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Crews believe the incident was caused by a landslip. They left the scene at 1.34pm.
