LOVERS of punk are folk are in for a treat this month as legends from both genres gather to rock Notts.

Loosely structured in the form of old-fashioned folk musician get-togethers, The Revival Tour is an ensemble collective in which the participating musicians collaborate and jam, frequently creating unique and inspired once-in-a-lifetime moments.

The UK tour kicks off with a multi-national collection of amazing storytellers from American singer/songwriter Chuck Ragan, Cory Branan, Western Australia’s Emily Barker, Canada’s Jay Malinowski from reggae band Bedouin Soundclash and Texan Rocky Votolato.

“In the last five years that I’ve had the opportunity of being on The Revival Tour, it’s been nothing but an invigorating breath of fresh air amongst the sea of live music out there today,” says Chuck Ragan.

“The revolving showcase of real music by real people in a simple grassroots fashion seems it originated in the old days from families and communities sharing music together, this is the simple ethic in live music events that we aim to revive.”

He adds: “For those who’ve yet to experience this type of gig or newcomers who’ve yet to travel on the tour, they’ll find the tradition and bond between the crew, artists and patrons as well as the staff from each venue that hosts this event to be one of a kind each and every night.”

The Revival Tour will be at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms on Thursday 15th November.

Tickets are £15.40 and are available by visiting www.alt-tickets.co.uk or you can call 0845 413 4444.
