The 119th Crowle show will take place on Sunday, July 17, at Godnow Road.

Horse and pony classes commence at 9am and the main ring events this year include side saddle from 9.30am, majorettes at 11am, the dog and duck show at noon which will be followed by the amazing Stannage International stunt show display team at 12.30pm.

At 1pm, we will be crowning the lrd and lady of the show who this year are from St Norbert’s Primary School, along with their attendants from Crowle County Primary School, they will be transported in a 1969 Daimler limousine kindly provided by Mr W Sargent. This vehicle is one of the many vintage cars that will be on display at the show along with a number of tractors which will be parading in the main ring at 3.30pm.

The main ring also has blood hounds at 1.30pm, polo at 2.30 as well as another session from the dog and ducks at 2pm with the stunt team giving a different display at 3pm.

At 4pm is the tug of war which is a bit of a battle between several local teams of butchers, farmers, wrestlers and others who want to test their pulling power.

At 4.30pm the supreme championship for the horse classes brings the main ring events to a close.

A spokesman said: “This year we are introducing a fun dog show, with a class for everyone including fancy dress, best legs and many more. Entries can be made on the day and the fee is £1 per class.

“Cattle and sheep classes start at 1pm, these have already attracted a number of entries from across the East Riding and the local area so we hope that some new records will be set this year.

“The produce show has been extended for this year with 140 different categories, so there could be a class for you.

“In addition to this we have a number of trade stalls selling everything from a car to a hot dog, as well as various side shows and displays.”

Admission is £5 for adults £3 for concessions and children or a family ticket for two adults and up to three children is £10. Car parking and programmes are free. A free minibus will also be picking up in Crowle and 7 Lakes at Ealand throughout the day.
