Sturton-by-Stow: Stow Christmas Market

Visitors made their way to browse around the many varied stalls at the market held in the historic minster of St Mary’s at Stow. With Christmas music setting the atmosphere mulled wine was served. The cake stall was quickly emptied and gifts of every kind were available to buy. Several of the craft stalls displayed beautiful hand-made pieces of woodwork, jewellery and gifts for the home.

Christmas market and lights

The market will be held in Sturton Village Hall on Saturday 7th December from 2pm to 4pm where there will be a wide range of gifts and goodies to browse around and find some Christmas bargains. Seasonal refreshments will also be available. Following the Christmas market there will be the switch-on of the lights on the village Christmas tree on the Village Green at 4.15pm. Music for carol singing will be provided by the Willingham Band and children from Sturton Primary School.

Coffee, cakes and carols

Everyone is invited to Sturton Methodist Church on Saturday 14th December between 10am and noon to join the festive celebrations. There will be a cake stall, bring and buy and a raffle.

Carol concert

Sturton WI invite you to a concert by the Salvation Army Band and Songsters on Tuesday 17th December in Sturton Village Hall at 7.30pm. Admission is free with a silver collection.

History Society

You are invited to a Christmas social evening on Wednesday 18th December in Sturton Village Hall at 7.30pm with Christmas stories, music and carols and seasonal refreshments.

Methodist Church

There will be a Family Carol Service on Sunday 22nd December at 10.30am and a Family Service on Christmas Day at 10am.
