Special bus service from Gainsborough to Lincolnshire Show

Special buses are to run from Gainsborough to the ever-popular Lincolnshire Show next month.

The 133rd show, which is a true celebration of rural Lincolnshire, takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 21 and 22 when visitors will be able to bask in an eclectic mix of entertainment, horticulture, farm life, music, food and shopping.

People from Gainsborough wanting to be there can take advantage of a bus service being run by Stagecoach East Midlands from the town direct to the showground at Grange-de-Lings in Lincoln.

The number 554 bus will leave Gainsborough bus station at 8.05 am each day and make six further stops en route to the show. These will be at Lea Green at 8.12 am, Knaith Park (Stag’s Head pub) at 8.15 am, Kexby Corner at 8.19 am, Willingham church at 8.22 am, Stow church at 8.25 am and Sturton by Stow (High Street) at 8.30 am. The bus will return from the showground at 5.45 pm.

The return fares are £4.40 for adults and £2.20 for children, with a family ticket for up to two adults and three children costing £10.50. However, bus passes for senior citzens and disabled people will not be valid on this service.
