Scotton church’s musical weekend

MUSIC is the theme at St Genewys’ Church, Scotton, during the second weekend of West Lindsey Churches Festival festival on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May.

The church will be open from 10am to 5pm each day. Between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday, church organist Joan Farleigh will be playing the organ.

And in the afternoon The Rev Mike Burson-Thomas will be playing his guitar.

At 7pm on Saturday Scunthorpe Male Voice Choir perform a concert, with support from The Quavers.

On the Sunday a local clarinet group will play in church in the early afternoon, followed at 3pm by a short concert from the Eau Valley Singers.

Bringing the weekend to a close is an Evensong service at 5pm with the Wolds Apart Quire.
