Rotary grand prix is all about pedal power

The Rotary Club of Gainsborough’s pedal car grand prix took place at Queen Elizabeth High School in the town.

The event was well attended by participants and their supporters as well as those members of the public who were suitably entertained.

The race took place over several heats and many gruelling laps of the track in order to find the eventual finalist.

The winners on the day were Elite Signs – who also won the prize for the fastest lap – with Gallant Restorations in second and Brook & Mayo and Lindum join third.

A prize was also awarded to the ladies of Mixed Emulsions as the best dressed team.

The prizes were presented by Andrea Brocklebank, president of the Rotary Club of Gainsborough and Coun Roger Patterson, chairman of West Lindsay District Council.

The Roatry Club thanked all those who attended and raced with great gusto and their supporters who also went a long way to making the day a great success.
