GAINSBOROUGH’S Rotary Club celebrated their 50th anniversary in style with a special charter dinner at The White Heather, Caenby Corner.

Representatives of 14 other Rotary Club’s in the area were also present. The gathering witnessed the annual change-over of presidents. Brian Dalby handed over the chain of office to local buisnessman Julian Needham.

“He is committed to increasing membership of the club and to retain and establish links with local organisations and has already shown a determination to lead by example, having just completed a 200 mile sponsored cycle ride to Rotterdam. with his friend Ed Lyon,” said Ray Woollard from the club.
